Development strategy

Early Stage. Bankable Outcomes.

WhiteFalls Energy's development capability covers every discipline required to take a project from raw land to a ready-to-build asset — with documentation that lenders and off-takers accept.

01

Early Contractor Involvement

We engage during pre-development to ensure constructability, provide value engineering, and produce bankable documentation that lenders and investors accept.

02

Conceptual Design

Engineered one-lines and general arrangement drawings utilizing the latest technology — produced at project initiation to support permitting and investor engagement.

03

Site Optimization

Optimize site designs for levelized cost of energy and maximum annual yield — balancing capacity factor, land coverage, and equipment configuration.

04

System Configuration

Evaluate technology alternatives and model various configurations across PV, BESS, and inverter architecture to identify the optimal solution for each site.

05

Site Selection

Evaluate site topography, environmental constraints, access conditions, and existing vegetation to identify developable acreage within a project boundary.

06

Geotechnical Investigations

Conduct preliminary and final soils testing and pile load testing to optimize foundation design, constructability, and material cost.

07

Permitting

Lead environmental and regulatory permit acquisition — FERC, state PUC, county zoning, environmental agency, and all applicable AHJ approvals.

08

Interconnection Support

Interface with utilities throughout the interconnection application and negotiation process — from pre-application meetings through LGIA execution.

09

Customer Outreach

Represent clients in all local, state, and federal agency interactions — public hearings, regulatory filings, and community engagement programs.

10

Detailed Estimating

Provide clients with detailed Engineer-Procure-Construct cost estimates and project pro formas — enabling informed investment decisions at every development milestone.

11

Project Scheduling

Develop initial and detailed project schedules to support project pro forma, lender milestone requirements, and PPA commercial operation date obligations.

12

Market Intelligence

Continuously monitor technology trends, equipment pricing, regulatory changes, and interconnection policy — ensuring clients act on the best available market information.

13

Equity Investment

Evaluate opportunities to directly participate in project construction financing through equity — aligning our interests with client success at the capital structure level.
